Last Thursday, Story and I went to Union Square, and stood in the middle of the park, with a poster that said: “If you knew in 1 year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why?”. Our goal, was to stay there for 30 minutes and see what people answered, if they answered and how they reacted to our poster.

Bellow are some of the reactions:

– “Hey, can I read that to my girlfriend?”

-Sure

– “Babe, If you knew in 1 year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why?”

-“Can I take a picture? I have to Instagram this”

-This picture is going to have like 100 likes

One man just passed by and screamed

-“Hell Yeah”

Another lady passed by and nodded her head and faced us and put her hands as if she was smoking, referring to a cigarette.

Some just passed by, and nodded their heads.

Some where deeper:

-“I wouldn’t change anything, You know why?”

-Why?

-“Because I am happy with my life right now, I just came out of jail, I was in my death bed, doctors said I would survive, but I did. After coming out of jail, I decided to change my life, and be a good person. I live in the Bronx, over there I have everything, a house, cars, clothes, you see Forever 21 there? That’s my favorite store. But 3 days of the week, I come here to Union Square with 100 bucks in my pocket, go to whole foods, and buy food for everyone here. My mother thinks that when I come here, I stay with a friend. But I come here to be a better person, to help the ones who need my help. I love coming here and meeting all these amazing people. Everyone thinks these men are bad people, but there not, all of our stories are different, and that is what I love, they have amazing hearts. I love Union Square, this is my family.”

– Wow, Thank you and God Bless you
