Choice of Object:
I picked an egg carton for my linear object, because it represents the community or culture of people who start each morning with eggs
for breakfast; A culture I identify with.

Companion Piece:
The companion piece is an abstract form I created, that draws inspiration from the closed form of the egg. Every planar surface in the form has been paid special attention to,so that it can be picked up ,turned around in the hand and observed. to create a more interactive relationship with the user, and to recreate the experience of handling an egg.The form consists of wood, metal and plexi glass, and wire connections, along with colourful illustrations and 3D spider webs because life is too short to not throw them in.
