PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAIT :5 (an Image)
This portrait is based on:
- The fact that Nicholas keeps beautiful polaroid photographs taken by him in these delicate transparent plastic cases.
- The concept of how everything a person makes is essentially a portrait of that person because it contains their essence.
The image I intended to construct was meant to show him holding up the plastic case, which intern has inside it an image of him holding the plastic case, which contains him holding the case,… and so on in an infinite loop for as long as the eye can register the iteration of elements in the image. To reinforce this iteration, I am going to place this image between two slabs to plexi glass to make it look like even that whole image is essentially located inside a plastic case.

Nicholas then edited the background for me so that it looked like the picture had been taken in a studio. This, I couldn’t do myself because my digital skills are abysmal.
Eventually, I have this image, which i will be placing between plexi glass.
