2 Truths and a Lie Self Portrait

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

For this piece I decided to depict my favorite shoes from when I was 7. I depicted a pair of camouflage Crocs, purple sandals with a flower and Kim Possible Sneakers. During the critique for this piece most people were easily able to guess the floral shoe was the lie due to the difference in color, as intended. The few that choose differently just didn’t want to accept that I preferred wearing Crocs. Most viewers were easily able to understand my concept and to understand the ideas that I put into the works.

Things to think about:

Softening the background of the Kim Possible sneaker, renaming the piece to indicate that it is two truths and a lie.
