On September 21st 2015 I visited Mets Stadium for the first time. The Stadium is located in Queens and takes an almost one hour long subway ride to get there.

That night the Mets were playing the Atlanta Braves. The over all atmosphere was incredibly energetic. I was sitting next to a group of 5 rowdy “men” that were yelling and harassing the Braves. Thankfully they were thrown out at the top of the 4th. Everyone was loud and rowdy cheering for the Mets to come out of their slump from their previous games.

I overall enjoyed the place and experience as i very much enjoy baseball. However, anyone that does not like baseball would really hate the place as it is the only thing offered there, besides overpriced stadium food and rowdy college boys.

I went to the game alone and found that definitely made a difference on the experience. The stadium is a highly social destination and it can be a bit awkward being there alone. However I still had a good time and enjoyed the game. The general excitement of the stadium is enough to make anyone buzz with the same energy.
