Lecture three

I like all kinds of technology, especially the newest technologies. VR is one of them that caught my attentions in the recent years since I and a heavy gamer and I am always looking for methods to engage with the video games. VR offers me a whole new perspective on experiencing the scene and experience that the new video game offers, creating a more embedded environment for me to quickly sink into the game play. However, I feel like developers nowadays focus too much on the scene and graphic of the gameplay, and they often ignore the importance of having a good story line. Take the first Mario game as an example, commercial VR didn’t even exist back then when the game was released and computers weren’t powerful enough to run high definition 2D games, but the first Mario truly offered a one of the kind gaming experience because of its unique gameplay and storyline, it is still my all time favorite.
