Bridge 1- Reflection PPJ-02/8/18

  1. How did you choose the images that you visualized? I followed the instructions that were posted. I really took the time to go sit down and go through the thought process. As random as it was when an image or idea stuck out to me I wrote it down. It felt very much so like a stream of consciousness as I was doing it.
  2. How did you choose the medium you selected for each piece? I decided to keep all of my pieces with the same medium. I worked with ink and color pencil. I choose ink because I felt it was permanent and bold the way the thoughts in my head were sticking out to me. I wanted to add color but I did not want it to be too bold therefore I went with color pencils.
  3. How did you choose how to present the work? I presented the work through small cut out ink and color pencil  pieces. They were messy and random how  I visualized the ideas in my head.
  4. How did you choose to connect/ or not connect the pieces to each other? My pieces felt very disconnected from one another. I decided to do this because each thought and question felt different.
  5. How did you feel (felt sense & emotional narrative) about presenting your writing – note keeping? I enjoyed keeping notes and having this process to follow through. I felt calm and in tune with myself while creating each piece.
  6. How did you feel (felt sense & emotional narrative) about showing your work? I did not expect my peers to look at my process I thought mine felt very personal and therefore confusing for my peers I wish I had made it more broad so  that my peers would not be as confused.
  7. How did it feel to have the DAI happen with you present? I was not present during the critique however, I read over the DAI’s and thought it was interesting how each person analyzed my work and to see their thoughts and feelings about it.
  8. How did you choose your questions for the audience/ viewers? I chose my question based on each persons work and the questions I was having while seeing their work and analyzing it.
  9. What changes would you make to the work if you have to do another iteration? I’m pretty sure I diverged from my original questions really quickly through my process and I felt I should’ve been more focused on the original  questions.
  10. If there was something that you could have shared with your viewers to bring additional context or understanding, what would it be? I guess something that could help  is explain my feelings and emotions through the process however, I’m not sure  it would be something I would be comfortable with doing.
