Lara and I began by talking about doing a project together because, well we are different, we found out we also have many similarities. We were going to make a coffee stained sheet + installation, where I would make her side, and she mine. We scratched that in favor of a performance. This is called “The Atheist, The Jew, and The Church” and would take place in front of the church at the end of St. Roche. We will set up a table with a white sheet and ashtray in front and sit going about our tasks, her reading her favorite book of poems, and me drawing, both while drinking coffee. This coffee will be spilled a bit, we are both clumsy. Then we will say and listen to music picked by the other, I will pick for Lara, and her for me. In addition, we will set up each others spot and leave in the way that one feels best represents the other. It will end with the table sitting there, with each of our special items and refections of habits that the other choses to show us after we have ended the performance. This will take place as a photo and could be reinstalled in the future.
