Little Mary, Why You Buggin’? Assignment

A cockatrice is a mythical creature, a creature that is half chicken and half lizard. Legend states that if one were to look into a Cockatrice’s eyes they would turn into stone. Because of this legend, many stay clear of any cockatrice. This meant that the cockatrice was a very lonely creature, no one would dare even come close to such a dangerous creature. One lonely cockatrice, while on it’s travels, stumbled into a girl which was a peculiar event, even seeing just part of a cockatrice from miles away would make any sane person head for the hills, why didn’t this girl notice him beforehand? The cockatrice waited patiently, looking away from the girl so that she had enough time to run away but instead this girl tugged on the creature’s feathers. The cockatrice had no choice then to look at the girl now. Then they’re eyes meet and, well, nothing happened. Confused, the cockatrice stared into her eyes even more intensely, it was then that he noticed that the girl’s eyes were glazed over, almost as if she were…blind. It turns out she was actually blind and the girl replied with a simple “hello”. The cockatrice had mixed feelings about this interaction, but most of all he was happy, happy that he could finally talk to someone else without fear clouding the way. And then he spoke and the rest was history.
