Baby Yaga is the granddaughter of the Baba Yaga, a woman from Russian folklore. Baba Yaga is a witch who lives in the woods, rides a mortar, and lives in a house propped up on chicken feet. She is also called ‘the bone crusher.’ She is seen as scary/evil, but many view her as the fairy godmother of the pure-hearted. Her granddaughter carries on Baba Yaga’s legacy by appearing as a healer of broken hearts and a crusher of the male ego.
