Space and Materiality: Culture, Project 1

For this assignment, I was asked to re-create my initial prototype of my culturally inspired object from Borough Park, Brooklyn. I chose to make a wire-sculpted bracelet in the form of a rugelach. Previously, my professor suggested that I adjust the sizing of the bracelet, mold my wire base around a form, and make effort to keep my lines for connecting precise and thought out. Below in the attachment you will find, not only my updated rendition and process, but also my previous invention for comparison purposes. Here they are.

Hello, My name is Megan Taylor, I am a returning student here at Parsons; my major is Fashion Design with a peaking interest in environmentalism and animal welfare; I hope to transform the industry someday...slowly but surely. My wish is to combine luxury and aesthetic appeal with the consciousness of how and where it is made along with the idea of what to do with it after use. I have been following my need to create and share with the world art and fashion since the tender age of eleven years old.
