Update of Alice:
Why I choose Aloe? Like stated previously, I’m not a mother nor do I plan to be for a while. I barely could remember to feed a fish so picking a plant as easy as aloe was a smart choice personally for my current lifestyle.
I never mentioned that I had an aloe loving father. In my house sits a huge big aloe plant that has been sitting in the same place for my entire eighteen years of existence. My dad came into the city Monday for work reasons like he does most Mondays, from Long Island, and we had a weekly daughter/ daddy dinner. I told him about the new addition to our family… Baby Alice! He being an aloe lover, was thrilled! He chuckled a little when I told him about the plant and then followed up by telling me that the plant in my house is nearly 70 years old. He told me that my grandpa started the plant, just as I did and my fathers been taking care of it for almost his whole life. Dedication right there. I knew he loved aloe but I didn’t know how much. He uses the plant any time anyone in my family has a cut, skin issue, or skin burn.
I told him that I thought Alice was sad sitting by the window cause she felt extremely dry on top even though I was watering her the small amount I was supposed to and that I moved her away from the window to the corner of the room. Little did I know Alice likes the window, I moved her back yesterday so she can sit under the sun, even though its a tad cold.
She has no visual change so far but I don’t expect to see her grow for a few weeks.
