The Botanist is a recluse. He is wealthy. He is a creature of glamour and a creature of apparent danger. Above all, he is an enigma. On those infrequent days that he leaves his house, his eyes are veiled with darkly tinted lenses, set into frames coated in diamonds. Nobody knows how he has come to his wealth. Nobody knows whether this wealth is a product or a cause of his spectacular tropical garden. For every piece of information unknown about The Botanist, there is a piece of information known about his plants. It is known that all of his plants are deadly. The Moonflower, which secretes an intoxicating perfume-like aroma, is so dangerous that one must wash their hands after making contact with it. All who have attempted to research The Botanist have not spoken of their attempts again
