Trojan Horse Portrait
Initially I had a very hard time trying to find a medium that I wanted to choose for this project. Eventually, I chose to use Adobe Illustrator, because I just started learning how to use it and I thought it would be an interesting challenge. The conceptual meaning has stayed pretty consistent, and I kind of knew what I wanted to portray from the beginning of this project. I wanted to portray the psychological struggle of being in one place and having to portray yourself to be a certain way, but at the same time having a difficult time distancing oneself from another place. Overall, what I wanted to convey was being an imposter by pretending to belong in one place, but really wanting to be in another.
