Field Action Project Proposal

For my field action design project, I was really interested in getting involved with one of the parks or gardens in the area. My favorite park in the city is Washington Square, so I contacted the Community Development Director from Washington Square Park Conservancy, which is a non profit sector of the park! She presented the idea of using my 2-D design experience to create a brochure that informs about the different types of plants and trees in the park. The brochure will also have an informative section to talk about sustainability and maybe even volunteer opportunities concerning the community and park! I’d love to make a very aesthetically colorful and interesting brochure that highlights the placement and information about each plant in the park. Here are some preliminary sketches of the brochure; I was even considering a small booklet! It’ll take more shape once I meet with the director!
