Photo Frame Contrast

The upper image is photographed by Anne Geddes, in August, 2016, and it is under Until Now Gallery now. On the other hand, the lower imagine is created by Dorothea Lange, and it is called Migrant Mother, which done in 1936. These two imagines show a really big contrast, they clearly show the difference between before and today. Nowadays, people are more peaceful and cherish human lives. In contrast, there were a lot of battles, wars and violence, immoral activities in 1930s, which we can see legend Ms. Lange delicately shot this well-known photograph. As we can see, it was consist of three people, who are a mother and two children, without hope and help. Furthermore, she used black to highlight the darkness and depression at that time. The mother in the photo draws me the most attention, we can easily find the sadness on her aged face. Conversely, the photo taken by Ms. Geddes is exactly different from the previous mentioned photo. She meticulously put three lovely new born babies in the pots, and put sunflower decorations on them. She then put them in the very middle of the picture. In addition, she also chose a purple, cloudy background to point out how adorable they are, and it is much lighter and more colorful than the 1930s piece.
