This is my first time doing the something from printing fabric which has my own designed pattern and texts on it. This Dress I called it “Don’t”, because of my “don’t” teacher Andrea. I had my first drape which I was really excited about. And you didn’t allow my do most of details that I wanted to do. You said ” No, don’t do it” And then I redrape another dress during the class. I scanned all the pattern, it was really hard to layout and reconnect all of them. After I drew out the pattern of the dress. I started to think what text I should put on. then I decided to use the “don’t” and also a white circle plus a slash to represent “don’t do it”. Although I am not happy at first, but I like the result and a this cute inspiration detail I got from you. When the fabric came, I am really disappionted about the colors. They are not what I imagined. So I decided to use my facing fabric to replace two panels for right side front and back. I cut then in same pattern, and drew all striaght lines with chalk. And sew all of them. At first I was afraid the lines are going to be too curvy. But it end up really nice. And also I cut the little tags and top stiches on one panel. And I like it and love process as well. The one you did’t allow me to do, I did it anyway, I didn’t wanted to change my design because I really love it. I did the facing as well. Hope you will like it.
And Thank you for the semester! love you!
