From Bridge Project 1, I make contact with the new media form which is AR. I think it always is a good way to use technology to express our art idea. Also from this project, I make connections about my personal experience and put it in my artwork. Like those three items in my project represent my past, now and future. The first item I use a panda doll I sleep with when I was little to represent my past. The second item is my make up table I use now. And the third item I use a map to show my wish which is I can travel around the world in the future.

Analysis:

Form the interview I can know my interviewee is a quiet person. I asked “What are some social situations that make you uncomfortable?” and she answered “Presentations are the embarrassing time for me. I feel nervous when I speak to a lot of people. And I am don’t like the eyes contact.” So the purpose for my critical object is to provide a personal space for interviewee which is suit for her characteristic and it can make her more comfortable and relaxed. For the critical object, the object I make for my interviewee is a combination of ears and eyes patch. The ears patch and eyes patch become one integral object and I am gonna make it by the napkin. She doesn’t like the sounds and she doesn’t like to meet the stranger. I asked her “What kind of sounds do you like most?” and she answered “I don’t like any sounds because I like a quiet place. If I heard some sounds around me, it makes me feel noisy and it may affect my attention.” That is the reason why my project have a part is the ears patch is it can divide any sounds from outside. Also, I asked her “Do you prefer a quiet environment or a lively atmosphere?” And she answered “I prefer a quiet environment. I stay alone and I don’t like to meet the stranger.” Moreover, I make my object by feather because feather is soft and light. It can give people a comfortable touch and feeling. The reason why I choose white feather is my interviewee like casual style. I asked her “What kind of clothes do you like you wear?” and she claimed, “I like the casual style.” Finally, I set a space for earphones inside of the ears patch because my interviewee said “I will listen to music all day, and I will also watch some short music videos to make me feel much more relaxed. Music can make me calm.” From this interview, I observe people’s social identity and review myself first. And finally, make a critical object from the interview. Step by step, I feel delighted for my progress.

And finally, make a critical object from the interview. This art piece is to create a private space for the interviewee in public place. This project is a good way to practice critical thinking and combine to the artwork. Step by step, I feel delighted for my progress.

Cyberbullying is a form of bullying or harassment using electronic means. Cyberbullying are also known as online bullying. It has become increasingly common, especially among teenagers. Cyberbullying is when someone, typically teens, bully or harass others on social media sites. Harmful bullying behavior can include posting rumors, threats, sexual remarks, a victims’ personal information, or pejorative labels. Bullying or harassment can be identified by repeated behavior and an intent to harm. Victims may have lower self-esteem, increased suicidal ideation, and a variety of emotional responses, including being scared, frustrated, angry, and depressed.

Awareness in the United States has risen in the 2010s, due in part to high-profile cases. Several US states and other countries have laws specific to cyberbullying. Some are designed to specifically target teen cyberbullying, while others use laws extending from the scope of physical harassment. In cases of adult cyber harassment, these reports are usually filed beginning with local police.

Research has demonstrated a number of serious consequences of cyberbullying victimization.

Internet trolling is a common form of bullying over the Internet in an online community (such as in online gaming or social media) in order to elicit a reaction, disruption, or for someone’s own personal amusement. Cyberstalking is another form of bullying or harassment that uses electronic communications to stalk a victim; this may pose a credible threat to the victim.

Statment:

Bridge Project 4 is an extension of the research in Seminar class. New media art has been greatly developed in recent years. At the same time, new media art has brought great help to a large extent. Like 3D Printing helps handicapped to have high quality artificial limb. But technology also brings a disadvantage to society. The large group number is using social media now. A new form of violence was born which is cyber violence. A lot of people suffer from depression, even suicidal. So I make a project about that to show the seriousness of the cyber violence for society. I use ten types of insulting or humiliate word which always show in common to combined the word violence. And I use the background fill of the word truth to overlapping. Also, I use the couple keyword about cyber violence in front of the scene to highlight the topic.
