Hanging in front of the Sustainable Systems design fair to attract “green” designers to the exhibit like Nuna.

When I went into the gallery, just last month, there were so many pieces of art reflecting a desire to better the world we live in today. A piece that I saw talked about stopping the use of destructive and harmful materials by designers. This piece was called “No Roast Tonight” and was in an exhibit called “The Dreamspace of Victor Papanek”. As I researched further and further back in time about the gallery, I found that the space was always used as a space to showcase students’ voices on social and political issues. This type of space in a school is very important because it allows young peoples’ opinions to be shown in a way that allows people from everywhere to see and hear what they have to say. It’s so inspiring to me to see that from 1970 to now, almost 45 years ago, the gallery is still being used to influence and educate its viewers to better the world around them.
