PUFY 1200
In this class students learn analytical, and drawing techniques for representing abstract concepts, physical space and objects. The focus of this course is on the use of representation within design practice. Students work individually on projects to develop strength in a variety of media that will be applicable to their core studio work in the first year and within their discipline. Students will add to the demonstration of perceptual and visual awareness in the Drawing and Imaging studio by developing strength in the distinct drawing skills that will be required in second year courses within the school of constructed environments. Emphasis is placed on the understanding of a multiplicity of scales – micro, human, structural, urban – in both abstract and concrete ways.
