I am privileged because I do not worry about where my next meal will come.

I am privileged because I am not worried about my parents getting a divorce.

I am privileged because I was able to apply, get accepted, and get approved for loans to go to a private college.

I am privileged because I am not worried about being racially profiled by police.

I am privileged because I am not worried about racial slurs being called towards me on the street.

I am privileged because I am not going to be fired from my place of work for my sexual orientation.

I am privileged because I am not worried about being deported for not being a U.S. citizen.

I am privileged because I did not flee a country where my life and my family’s lives were in danger.

I am privileged because I am a white, cis-gendered woman.

I am afraid, and I am sad, for those who are not as privileged as I am.

Donald Trump’s actions and executive orders have shown that he does not care for all of those living in a free country, and by passing many of these executive orders is going against the separation of church and state. He also is attempting to overlook the checks and balances system of the government, and is releasing ‘alternative facts’ to brainwash any of those dumb enough to fall for him and his cabinet’s tricks.

Donald Trump may be my father’s president, but he is not mine.
