I don’t wear a wrist watch everyday as a habit. I only wear them when I am traveling somewhere or finishing some time-constrained tasks. So it does not make sense for me to get an expensive watch for these occasions only. So I got myself a digital watch from G-Shock, model GA-6900, one that you can get in a good price and an array of colors. The watch itself is well designed, very functional while not losing the aesthetic: (I would say it fits my expectations for a product) having four buttons, two on each side, top to bottom- for adjusting times and dates. One in front of the surface just for the switching on the lighting system to lit the watch face. The whole body is made by Urethane resin. Providing flexibility and strength at the same time. The buttons are all protected by the shape of the watch crown. Coved inside the indents of the sides of the crown. Overall a very function-inspired silhouette.

Very often we take designs for granted when the objects that we use come in hand in hand everyday- just like the shape of the 6900. If I have the chance to I will definitely ask the designer/ the group of designers how did they come up with the final design- for myself it sits perfectly well on my wrist while a lot of other watches overlooked the ergonomics. They organized the four buttons at the four corners helped cutting away unnecessary edges and created more space for movement of the wrist.
