I have never thought of clothes that I am wearing that closely. This task made me choose my outfit very carefully for the period of the experiment. I realised that I have to pay more attention to what I am usually wearing because I feel that as a fashion student I owe this to the society. These seven days I was thinking about what fits in today’s mood and weather, and also about how different occasions can dictate your choice of clothing. Whether it is a night out with friends or a school day your outfit usually matches the event. I noticed that I try to always think of what I wore throughout a week period. I try not to wear the same clothes for a certain period of time, and though my wardrobe is full of clothes, it gets really hard sometimes to choose an outfit. I tend to have favourite clothes, which I love wearing, and I have those looks, which I feel comfortable about. It is hard to get away from something if you like it, but I usually try to explore my closet and vary something every day. I never thought about this before, but when I started the Dress Log that these actually affects my decisions. I also realised that I use my dress to show how I want people to perceive – It does not always depend on my mood and my state of mind. In fact, I tend to use clothes as my armour, as sort of protection. I can even say that I create my mood using the dress.
