Assignment 10 – Orthographic Projection of a Household Object

Assignment

First we took pictures of a household object from the various views so that we could understand what to draw for each viewpoint. Then we measured the chosen object. Finally, we drew the object outlines from the different documented sides.

Object

I chose an SD card reader for my household object.

Orthographic Projection

Reflection

This was my first time doing an orthographic projection, or even any technical drawing. I found it very tedious to do the measurements and try to make precise lines, but it was definitely a learning experience for me, as well as a test of my patience. This one did not come out as well as I had hoped, as I was still getting the hang of trying to be accurate and precise, but my Assignment 11 orthographic projections look a bit cleaner.
