AT THE TABLE
For my TV intro, I have decided to experiment with stop-motion/animation. The premise of my show revolves around a single murder. It’s a spin off of the classic “Clue”. The murders happen in a dinner setting, and each episode has a different conclusion as to who did it. The video is quite repetitive, but that resembles the show and its plot. I want to do it in a clean, black and white formate to resemble Agatha Christie mysteries.
I made a short video of my story board clips to fit it with my music. This helped me figure out the timing of my slides.
Reading Response
I was inspired by the examples and types of sequences in “Understanding Comics”. The moment to moment sequence helped me plan out my shots. Chapter 4 talks about seeing sequencing as a rope. The knots represent seconds. This was helpful because I could directly relate this to stop motion. Although not directly similar, using sound to create a mood was an important aspect of this video. The meaning of the video would have been completely different if the music choice was different.
