For the open project, I decided to play with creating a flip-book. I wanted to draw out a fraction of time with a sequence of photos. It was also suggested that I add a range of colors to the booklet. This creates a wave effect when you flip through the book.

I was inspired by “Understanding Comics” because of the attention to frame by frame sequencing. Although my flip book is an extreme version of a sequence, figuring out a way to show subtle movement and form, “Understanding comics” gave me a better understanding of how to compose my piece. Learning about the way each frame leads to another inspired my way of thinking when I was creating this book.
