I spent this week looking at how I could deconstruct the shape of my original concept in order to further develop this desk system. As an alternative to the plywood I was using, I began experimenting with cork; the elasticity and flexibility of the material went hand in hand with my design and the use of cork eliminated the aesthetic issues I was facing while using plywood.
