For my final project, I did a series of 4 illustrations that depicted the past, recent past, present, and future. I wanted to work with the concept of time in our consciousness, and the way it it can be distorted on LSD. Natural substances do have the capacity to speed up and slow down time in conscious creatures, and distorted senses of time simply implies that we do experience things that are visually off balance on the regulatory scale of consciousness. The whole notion of “normality” fundamentally rests on regulatory laws of nature. Even now, it is becoming very clear that chaos is decisively an order. How consciousness translate chaos into order, weave the world into sensible forms, queue and re-order events in time, mask dimensions of events space to allow individuation of perceivable objects and quantities etc is always in question.

In exploring concepts of time and perception, particularly how altered states can warp our experience, the project highlights the fluidity of past, present, and future. This resonates with playful escapism found in games like snow rider 3D. Players ride thrilling slopes, where time bends with every icy twist and turn. Just as perception can shift in altered states, so too can gameplay dynamics in this captivating snow adventure.
