Working in a group has its pros and cons. For one, it can be helpful sharing ideas with innovative people of different skills and expertise. It can reduce the stress and pressure of having to finish a project individually, as the work is divided equally amongst the members of the group, and each person can contribute their thoughts to help broaden options. There are some cons as well, such as making sure that everybody is on the same page to be able to move forward. Some difficulties include needing people to be present at all times to be able to check in and ensure everybody is moving forward together. Working individually at least gives the freedom to do as we please, at the pace we’re comfortable with, without needing any validation from others. But working with others can bring a person out of their comfort zone and broaden their perspective in terms of what they create; and socially, it challenges us to be able to work in a group dynamic. I’d say it was a positive experience overall, and the difficulties we faced as a group were minor in comparison.
