When does something stop being a self-portrait? When does something start being a self-portrait? If I take a picture of my show could I call it a self-portrait? Could I call it a portrait at all?
What if I took a bite of an apple? Could a picture of the bite mark be a self-portrait? Where is the line where something stops being a self-portrait and starts being nonsense? Have I already passed the line? Does it even exist?
Does it become a self-portrait because I tell you it is? Does it’s ability to become a self-portrait depend on my ability to manipulate words or your ability to comprehend them?
