Assignment #2: TED TALKS

Unlike 2D design which emphasizes aesthetics over functionality, 3D design is, in a way, an ode to the improvement of human sustainability. From the “fat-free” design vision of Lovegrove to the tablet-Cardiopad hybrid of Andrew Zang, each unique project introduced by these three videos explains how design and innovation go hand in hand. To the best designers out there, 3D design is about having a purpose, a reason to exist — designing a hospital room that prioritizes sanitation, creating a way to combine work and relaxation, combining a car and a street lamp into one product.

Each speaker informs their audience of the same idea: to make a change one must first developed an idea that is worthy of change.
