In this project, students are required to sketch orthographic drawings of objects and then proceed to make a 3D model of it.
Part 1: turned in
The process of sketching the design was relatively simple, but the act of creating a model was a lot more difficult. The first I made I used flaps to keep it attached. However as you can see from the model, it didn’t turn out very well. I proceeded to use envelope pins to attach the different sides. This, while still a little rough, turned out well especially since I was using Bristol rather than something sturdier like cardboard.
