Quaker Oats: It’s Always In Season

A series of ad campaigns that shows consumers how they can have it all and do it all by starting their day with Quaker oats. 

Project:

During a busy morning, it’s easy to let breakfast fall low on your list of priorities. We choose to explore the challenges felt by busy consumers who often don’t dedicate enough time for breakfast. 

  • Our research indicated that work, school, and new opportunities are often the priority and eating breakfast becomes a secondary concern in most people’s lives. However, we believe that breakfast is crucial for getting you through a long day and eating Quaker Oats will give you the energy you need for success. 

  • The aim is to send a message to consumers that they shouldn’t have to sacrifice their health, time or energy for the stresses and busyness of life. By starting your day with the most important meal of the day, it can give you the energy to balance your personal and work life. 

Challenge:

Due to peoples hectic and busy lifestyles, breakfast has become the least of their concern. With a busy day ahead, individuals need the energy to get things done and the ability to focus. The problem is people don’t have the energy to do everything they need to do, because they are not eating breakfast. 

Further research showed that people realize that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but skip breakfast everyday because they think it takes too much time to make and eat. This often leads to people substituting breakfast with caffeinated drinks to deal with their  low energy. 

To change people’s perspectives on breakfast, we needed to show that eating breakfast gives you the energy to live an active lifestyle. This led us to create Quaker Oats: It’s Always in Season. 

 

Outcome:

Quaker Oats: It’s Always In Season is a response to people not taking the time to have breakfast in the morning. Inspired by the popular film, The Devil Wears Prada we wanted to target people who find themselves in a busy, stressful environment. The film depicts the hectic lifestyle of a post-graduate trying to balance her personal and work life. The Devil Wears Prada creates a perfect visualization of a busy lifestyle, while still having a sense of humor and relatable aspects to our target audience. 

We created our ad campaigns to teach people that eating Quaker oats for breakfast is a key start to the day. Not only does it help you think and perform better, it supports your well being in many other ways. 

Those struggling to balance work and life, managing both can be as easier by eating Quaker Oats for breakfast. Consumers can have it all and do it all by eating Quaker Oats for breakfast.
