Final project challenge:

What can you change or improve for the brand? (Happy Socks)

1. Becoming and expert on the brand you’ll be working on.

Figuring out the brand’s origin, mission, vision/purpose, know how, values.

Observing and think about what they say and the difference with their perception.

Look for what the brand/company has been doing so far in terms of marketing: product launches, what makes them different, their tone of voice, their consistency and if they have distinct attributes.

2. Know the industry trends and other forces affecting the brand. What is the data telling you? This will help the team know if they should create a sub-brand, a new brand or just a new offering in their portfolio.

3. Direct Competitors and other substitutes. Who are they? are they a threat? Will they be a threat in the future?

4. Basic or more developed information about who you think the customer is and their needs. You will have another week to dive into market research and insights but if you can, get moving on this too. But maybe you have identified a need here? what is that?
