From Schütz piece of “The Stranger”, I was reminded of the time when I first made the decision to attend boarding school in the US. I remember having no clue how I would be able to adjust to such a different environment from my own. Feeling like an alien, my first year had me dealing with some homesickness and yearning for my mother’s cooking, but in the end, when you allow yourself to open up to others and truly learn and accept the differences, you grow as a person. The experience of venturing off into a new world has made me capable of understanding more about myself and the world around me.
