Art, Media & Technology

Art, Media & Technology

The new four-year BFA in Art, Media, and Technology offers an interdisciplinary course of study through which students explore the dynamic intersections of design, art, media, and technology in a complex world.

The program reflects the curricula of Parsons’ School of Art, Media, and Technology in New York. The program enables emerging art and design thinkers and practitioners to develop their creativity in cross-disciplinary contexts and learn to see design as a transformative, forward-looking enterprise.

GLOBALLY CONNECTED

Building on the expertise of our faculty and our networks around the world, Parsons developed the BFA in Art, Media, and Technology program for our Paris campus. Students enrolled in the program have access to the cultural institutions and resources of Paris as well as the opportunity to spend a semester or year abroad at our New York campus.

DISCIPLINARY CONNECTIONS

Art, Media, and Technology students gain a broad knowledge of art and design practices applicable to a variety of disciplines while developing deeper understanding and skills related to a specific domain. Students undertake studio projects involving ideation, research, writing, iteration, and prototyping applied to drawing, photographic thinking, visual computing, and other creative media. Through studio and liberal arts courses that bridge perspectives, disciplines, and practices, students in the program explore innovative approaches to emerging, interdisciplinary, and collaborative areas of art, media, and technology.

FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates of the Art, Media, and Technology program can pursue careers in interactive and social media, film and television, motion graphics, animation, game design, advertising, graphic arts, fine arts, and related fields.
