Most inspiring design solutions:
Transform invested neighbourhoods in abandoned or vacant properties into assets both for their neighbourhood or for the entire city.
Turn a community conversation into a participatory project where people can engage in making the arts and attending the arts. Integrate the arts with community activities and organizations.
When the budget is limited, designers should look for catalytic partners. Try to offer a proposal that has solutions for developing and building the site but let the partner own it and maintain the site.
The goal with every project is to let the impact designers are aiming to be determined by the residents. Rather than going into a project by saying we are hoping to improve health/economic standpoint, it’s essential to hear the residents’ needs.
I selected these design solutions because I can apply them to design the project in my neighborhood. These design solution helped me to brainstorm some ideas that I can use to RooseveltIsland. It also opened up views to solve budget problems and fulfil customer needs.
