This is a supplement vending machine with a shape of human body.
At the top of the vending machine, there is a simple instruction for customers to follow.
In the middle, there are all the supplements customers can choose from.
At the bottom, there is a drop button on the foot for gathering all the supplements customers chose.
On the right hand of the machine, there is a place to insert credit cards
On the left hand of the machine, there is a place to drop the supplement package customers ordered.
On the machine, there is also a QR code scan to look up information on the app.
This machine requires electricity to function and it accept VISA, MasterCard & AMERICAN EXPRESS
Reflection:
I enjoy designing the vending machine. Overall, I believe the design is successful. The human shape of the design will draw people’s attention, and the superman packaging will evoke positive emotions in customers. The APP feature can be accessed through QR code, and it can provide a lot of information for people to understand what supplements they should get based on their needs.
One big challenge I encounter is to help people find out what supplements they need without listing all the information. I was looking for a way to help my customers access the information conveniently. Technology helped me solve the problem. I can extend the vending machine with an APP so people can look up on there. More features can be included in the APP later on in the process if the design is tested successfully on the market.
This design process trains me to design products that work in the real market. I not only did research on different vending machines but information about supplements as well. As a designer, we need to know as much information as possible on the topic to understand the customers’ needs. In real life, some surveys should also be conducted to gain reliable data.
