This was was the final piece that Deniz and I created. The assignment was to create a work that would give the viewer a sense of what you experienced while having your hearing and your sight compromised. We decided to create two cubes to represent each of us (Deniz and I) and to have them connect, since we had a similar experience. Each side of the cube represents a different experience that we had. For example, we heard the sounds of a saxophone and a piano in the park while we couldn’t see, and we also saw a lot of construction and people walking while we couldn’t hear. By utilizing cubes, we displayed six different experiences we had, rather than just focusing on one.
