The waistband for muslin skirt

Here are few steps of getting the waistband for my skirt done.

First it started with paper pattern:

I made few mistakes while cutting the darts because I kept forgetting that while holding the waistband half to half we don’t count the seam allowance on the sides (one two sides the seam allowance is different since on of the sides we left the space for button)

Then I transferred the pattern on muslin, and after cutting it out and folding it in half connected it to my skirt:

I also need to keep reminding myself to iron the darts on the inside part of the skirt well before I start sewing my waistband on, since on the back and front sides of the skirt the direction of darts is different as well.
