Final Presentation
This Project and presentation is one that is personal for me. Through this project I was able to fully throw myself into my work in every sense of the word. I felt as though I slept, ate and breathed this assignment. I cannot think of a theme much more personal than death and dying. It is something we all must go through and often times fear. Personally seeing family and loved ones go through the complex and non traditional road of hospice care, made me that much more sensitive to this issue. It was a challenging yet beautiful task that taught me so much about myself and the final most important aspect of life. I have a new found respect for Interior Design and the purpose of an Interior designer. I’ve always known it is important to feel comfortable in a space, but after this project Iv’e learned and understand just how important it is. During the initial presentation though nervous I found myself excited to share my proposal and ad personal feed back for such an overlooked situation like palliative care and Hospice care. This project was like nothing I have ever done., I have learned to be extremely sensitive to the needs of potential inhabitants of spaces and to personally put myself into the project to make the outcome much more meaningful and dynamic.
