Applied Design Phsh hat

Environmental problems have been plagued us in recent years, and water pollution, as one of the major problems, has rarely attracted people’s attention. People may get a rough idea of the current situation of water pollution in mobile web pages and videos. Investigations on New York’s water quality issues often appear in long texts. But a large amount of data and statistics are not very friendly to the people of New York. This is because data is difficult for everyone to digest and understand. If we want to make the concept of water pollution and environmental protection be deeply understood by people, we need to make this concept close to people’s daily lives.

The Natural Dye Experiment inspired me to change colors in different pH levels in nature. The acidity and alkalinity of water will affect water resources and affect the “water” in the atmosphere. What will affect my design is to apply natural dye experiments to safety hats or helmets. In New York, there are many city bikes and people who deliver food. It would be best if you had a helmet to protect the safety of cyclists in the noisy New York. The outer layer of the helmet I designed is ph reflective fabric. When people ride to an area and rain and snow, the rain will cause the helmet to change color. People will be full of curiosity when they see this purple to green discoloration. People can learn about local water quality problems and pay attention to urban water pollution through this ph discoloration.

Fish inspire the shape of the safety hat because fish symbolizes the water ecosystem. Human beings also come from the sea and water systems. We have always had endless fantasies about fish. I hope that people can think of life in the water through the shape of the helmet and the discoloration reaction to form a life concept that protects the environment.

Branding and publicity. The main place to promote the brand is on the subway and bus.
