The beehive community is structurally one of the most complex and efficient social structures that exist organically in nature. That is also reflected in the physical structure of the hive itself, being made out of a hexagonal pattern which uses the least amount of the beeswax as possible which also being structurally sound. The bees have one leader, the queen bee, who work to populate the hive, while the worker bees gather pollen and maintain the hive. This community exists and thrives on its own in nature, however, humans have made a slight change to the community as well. Bee-keepers are people who give the bees a safe place to build their hive, but they also benefit from the relationship. We gather honey from the bees, and they pollinate our gardens and crops. Overall, this relationship is a symbiotic one, as the bees are needed for pollination and honey harvesting, and we have made it so that the bees cannot thrive as well without the help of the beekeepers.
