  • Very moist             • cold
  • holes                       • light yellowish color
  • soft                          • squeezy-easily bended by hands
  • circular shape       • smell-less
  • Number of circles inside the lotus root is same, which is nine.
  • Each circle’s sizes differs each other.
  • When I put them on that plastic bag, the water inside the lotus root kept dropping.

<Second Day- April 19th 2016>

  • little bit harder than the first day
  • still I could bend them if I press it hard
  • edges of the lotus root are rising up
  • size shrank- entire size and size of inside circles
  • light yellow color changed into little darker color- some parts were still light yellow other parts were little dark yellow
  • I changed the plastic bag to tissue paper in order to soak moist from the lotus root
  • the shape changed as they were dried
  • The speed of dehydrating relies on the temperature and humidity of my room
