    • The assignment was great, my groupmate Isabella and I were both familiar with Chinatown already so we had an easy time navigating through the streets. We did have trouble however coming up with a theme for our video which meant we were having a hard time deciding what to capture but we knew how we were both going to capture. I wanted to take still photos while Isabella wanted to take video, I also wanted to take black and white photos during the day and color during the night to show how more colorful Chinatown is at night in comparison to the day. We began wanting to photograph the street vendors although they don’t really appreciate that, then we started taking photos of the merchandise vendors, then of street art and strange alleyways, I started taking some photos of trash but I think we finally settled on capturing some of the elderly people. We noticed that there was a large number of elderly people in Chinatown out and about and we deemed them interesting subjects since they have been there the longest.
    • We plan on doing interviews but with the audio in Chinese so the people are more comfortable speaking in their native tongue and also so what they’re saying is personal to them but a secret to us.
    • Problems:
      • SD card couldn’t fit into the recorder we rented from the EQC
      • Video footage Isabella had captured was not recorded onto the SD card even though it was showing on the SD card when it was plugged into the video camera so we lost all her footage
