In this assignment, our professor assigned us to approach this with 3 steps. We started out with a charcoal drawing then we moved on to the illustrator to learn further information about color compositions. Finally, by using acrylic paint we experimented with close value composition.
Charcoal Drawing
On this step, we were assigned to come up with our own visual compositions. We blocked out the negative space by using compressed charcoal.
Color Combinations
In this step, our professor introduced us to the tool Illustrator. We learned how to trace objects. First of all, I traced my charcoal drawing and experimented with different color combinations onto it.
Close Value Painting
After experimenting with other colors. For the final step, our professor assigned us to come up with a close value composition. First of all, I previewed my composition on illustrator and then painted it by using acrylic paint.
