Space and Materiality: The Form Wheel

Using knitting yarn and wooden dowels to incorporate all the elements in the form wheel into one sculpture. First by constructing the basic structure using the dowels, then by wrapping and weaving the yarn on top of the structure to create a flat surface. Perforating the surface by dividing up different portions of yarn, creating a patterned screen. Finally by expanding the yarn to the bottom of the sculpture, forming a less organized surface, contrasting to the other surfaces, and at the same time establishing an enclosed space in the middle of the sculpture.

Your attention, effort and detail and over look of the piece communicates well.
I Like the addition to piece, now it has a finished look. It reads as a play with porousness and expansion as modeled in form wheel.
