TIME FRAME.

  • The goal of this project was to capture, with high shutter speed, slow shutter speed, and a narrative story. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to start with so I did a couple of sketches. I usually do this with most of my photographs when it has to be theme-based or cohesive
    • I wanted to capture birds at first because they give you action and you and would be great for the slow shutter, however, I was coming to the conclusion that pigeons are not my interest as a subject.
    • Then I decided I wanted to work with water and go for minimal or abstract photography, that I usually never do, and the other sketches were just there.
  • The Time sequence of my photograph was, adding ink to the water, then pouring the water, which would follow with the water dripping down a plate of glass.
  • The difficulty of this assignment was that I wasn’t sure how I would make my photos interested enough. Also, I  was really worried that there wouldn’t be a sense of time. Which the feed-back from my class spoke to me, that they couldn’t tell which would be considered, a Narrative or High Shutter Speed. The last thing was that I didn’t work with a tripod… that was a mistake.
  • Something I would improve in the future would be the editing. I would of like to make the images a litter sharper but lest contrast. I feel like that would help some of the details of the ink show a little more.
