My project for Bridge One was showing my obsessions A-Z through post cards. I chose the postcard format because I collect a lot of them, and I was enjoying more because it made me happy to think that my photographs could possibly be on postcards and people could appreciate it like I do. I also enjoy getting written letters and I enjoy writing letters to myself.

For each postcard I made a stamp representing the each letter of the alphabet and wrote the word on the left side. I also made abstract art for each of my words and wrote my experience with my obsessions.

The most helpful critique I received from others was to maybe use pen when writing on the back of my post cards. Using pencil was looking a little messy. another feedback was to be a little bit more consistent to who I write the post cards too. For my own feedback I would off like to make a better design on the back of the post cards, to make more sense to my photos on the front.

If I had another week to do my work I would defiantly chance the route of my assignment. I would have included myself in my own post cards, so people know that I was there instead of having images of the places I have been to  so it could be even more personal.

The thing I am mostly proud about it is to print my images on a new paper, which was water color paper, it better the quality of my work and what I was trying to show through my project (which is the personal aspect). I am also proud of adding more images than being just my photographs.

My top five obsessions I would like to work with more would be architecture, film, neon lights, and ocean. There were the ones that got my interest a little more and perhaps expand my projects with those five obsessions. Also, a photographer I would like to include different materials into my photographs more. Specially with water color, because it’s another medium that I love working with. Also looking at other classmates working with different materials than me makes me want to explore it more than just knowing about that material.
