For my first project idea I wanted to create an architectural sculpture collage, where you could see inside into the building. On the inside you would see printed images and also the inside would be lit up by red lights that would look like a dark room. The purpose of the light was to be able to see the image Clearly since it was dark.
On the outside you would see cut outs of windows frames that would acts as the window frames on a building.
During the critique i was more technical on my explanation. I first wanted to be a building model where there would be a structure where people would be able to go inside and go around this giant picture GALLERY. however it would have been too much and because of QUARANTINE I did not have the right materials I would have love to use the on the model.
For the critique they recommended to see the model bigger, it was a bit confusing to them since I didn’t have a physical model in hand, and I was not so good at explaining it but they saw that I wanted to make this new collage building in mind. The biggest suggest was to make the space big enough and also detail enough so we can see were the people would be able to walk around and how they would travel up into this architectural tower of photos.
In the end I was pretty dissatisfied by the outcome of my project and destroyed it. I wasn’t thinking about how the materials would have looked while making the model. To me it ended up looking like a 5th grade project.
